The 'Deadpool' star reveals on Instagram that he is taking 'a little sabbatical from movie making' after wrapping up his movie 'Spirited', but his wife says that 'Michael Caine did it first.'

On Saturday, October 16, the "Deadpool" star wrapped up the filming on his upcoming movie "Spirited" in which he stars alongside Will Ferrell. Marking the last day of production, he posted on Instagram some behind-the-scenes pictures with his co-stars and the film's crew along with a touching note.
"That's a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I'd have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago," the 44-year-old hunk wrote of making the film. "Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer…"
Making it a little more personal, he announced his plan to take a short hiatus. "Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making," he added. "I'm gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists."
"These days, kindness matters as much as talent," Ryan went on noting, before concluding, "I've been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both."
But before fans make it big about Ryan's so-called sabbatical leave, Blake reminded that he's not the first to do so. "Michael Caine did it first," she penned in the comment section, referencing the British actor's supposed retirement plan, which he has since denied.
The 88-year-old led people to think that he quit acting after his upcoming film "Best Sellers" due to spinal injuries and a lack of scripts that excite him. "Funnily enough, it has turned out to be what is my last part, really, because I haven't worked for two years, and I have a spine problem, which affects my legs. So, I can't walk very well," he told BBC Radio 5 Live's Kermode and Mayo's Film Review.
"The Dark Knight" star added, "There haven't been any offers, obviously, for two years, because nobody's been making any movies I want to do. But also, I'm 88. There aren't exactly scripts pouring out with a leading man who's 88."
However, he later confirmed he's not stepping away from the spotlight in a simple one-sentence tweet, using one of his most repeated movie lines. "I haven't retired and not a lot of people know that," so he clarified.
