When sharing a video of herself watching the HBO teen series, the 21-year-old YouTuber and internet personality turns off comments on her social media post.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Jade has fired back at the "Gossip Girl" reboot. After the HBO teen series alleged that she has capitalized on mom Lori Loughlin's college admissions scandal, the YouTube star took to social media to set the record straight.

Making use of TikTok on Sunday, July 11, the 21-year-old shared a video of herself watching the premiere episode of the show. The clip first saw Savannah Lee Smith's character Monet De Haan saying, "You as someone who loses is bad for business."

In response, Jordan Alexander's Julien replied, "I didn't lose anything." Zion Moreno's character Luna La then chimed in, "And everything will be fine so long as you win. Olivia Jade gained followers when her mom went to jail."

Upon hearing the line, Olivia was quick to shake her head. She additionally made it clear in the accompaniment of the post by writing, "No, I didn't." She also turned off comments on the footage.

Olivia has previously opened up about her parents' role in the college admissions scandal when speaking to Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris in a December episode of "Red Table Talk". She admitted, "It's been hard. I think for anybody, no matter what the situation is, you don't want to see your parents go to prison, but also I think it's necessary for us to move on and move forward."

"I'm not trying to victimize myself. I don't want pity - I don't deserve pity. We messed up," the internet personality added. "I just want a second chance to be like, 'I recognize I messed up'. I never got to say, 'I'm really sorry that this happened', or 'I really own that this was a big mess-up on everybody's part,' but I think everybody feels that way in my family right now."

Olivia's parents Lori and Mossimo Giannulli pleaded guilty to paying $500,000 to help her and her sister Isabella Rose Giannuli secure places at the University of Southern California. The couple has now completed their prison sentence and paid a total $400,000 fine.
