AceShowbiz - Jude Law's daughter Iris Law has turned heads with her new haircut. When debuting her edgy buzz cut in a new social media post, the daughter of the "Sherlock Holmes" actor revealed that she used to have "many wigs and secret."
The 20-year-old beauty took to her Instagram account on Thursday, July 1 to show off her drastic hair transformation. Alongside portraits of herself, she wrote, "The day has come! I'm so honoured to have been given the opportunity to debut my new hair with @britishvogue photographed by the amazing @alasdairmclellan."
"So many wigs and secret hiding my head moments!" the model continued sharing in the caption of her post. "Which only makes this day more special. Couldn't think of a better team to do it with! Thank you thank you [love]."
In the comment section, Iris' mother Sadie Frost expressed how proud she is of her. "So strong and beautiful my darling iris," the "Dracula" star commented. "Ha ha no more teddy bear hats and i can get to stroke your head now more."
In a new interview with British Vogue, Iris offered more details about her decision to cut off her long brunette locks. "I wanted to do something that felt liberating," she confessed. "The day I shaved my head, I changed my life. I've never done anything like that before."
Iris shared that she decided to shave her head after being cast as Soo Catwoman in the forthcoming series "Pistol", alongside Thomas Sangster, Talulah Riley and Christian Lees. She added that she was left "almost disappointed" when producers never asked to switch up her look for the role.
"I looked in the mirror and thought it was going to be emotional, but it wasn't. It felt so positive," she explained. She added that she's gotten mixed responses from friends and family. Though so, she stressed, "I'm just so confident in it that I don't care."
Iris also unveiled her new look in a TikTok video that was set to the viral "I did it" sound. In the beginning of the clip, the model/actress appeared on camera with a chest-length brunette hair. She later uncovered that the hair was actually a wig by pulling it off to reveal a blonde buzz cut underneath.
