The 'Wild for the Night' hitmaker, who has been accused of using a gate tagged with graffiti for the Black Lives Matter protest for a photo opportunity, insists he has been busy marching.

AceShowbiz - Rapper A$AP Rocky has fired back at critics after he was accused of using a gate tagged with graffiti for the Black Lives Matter protest for a photo opportunity.

Early on Monday (June 01), the "Wild for the Night" hitmaker appeared in a series of snaps posing in front of a metal shutter bearing the anti-police slogan, "F**k 12" - slang referencing the drug unit.

The images, which were posted to the Twitter account for Rocky's creative agency AWGE, were captioned, "ASAP Rocky at the LA protests".

However, the shots led to a number of followers questioning the hip-hop star's intentions with the photos, as Rocky, who was pictured wearing a bandanna tied around his mouth and nose, had not shared any other messages of support in the wake of the protests following George Floyd's murder at the hands of Minnesota police on 25 May.

However, Rocky has since hit out at the detractors, insisting he hasn't felt the need to broadcast his actions on social media because he has been busy marching side-by-side with the demonstrators in Los Angeles.

"WE PROTESTED N DEEZ STREETS, NO PRESS ,NO CAMERAS ,NO INSTAGRAM," he wrote. "NOT 4 NO BRAGGIN RIGHTS OR PHOTO OPPS, S**T WAS JUST GENUINE. 4 ONCE ITS LIKE DA WHOLE (world) SHARED THE SAME PAIN, I DONT POST MY EVERY MOVE, NOT MY THING BUT WE FAR FROM SILENT N ITS STILL F*K12 (sic)!"
