The music video for the single broke records as it garnered over 43 million views in 24 hours, breaking the previous record held by Eminem to become the biggest debut for a hip-hop video in YouTube history. However, a new report suggested that the video has now been taken down from the platform.
Magix Enga, a Kenyan producer, shared that the music video was removed from YouTube due to a copyright issue. Blasting the rapper in a recent Instagram post, he said, "Don't sample my Beats Biggest song Delete By Magix Enga." Alongside the post, he uploaded a picture of the "FEFE" hitmaker.
However, it seemed that Enga and 6ix9ine managed to reach an agreement to settle the issue. In a new statement on YouTube, Enga stated that he loves 6ix9ine's music and added it was his decision to put the video back on YouTube.
"Was My decision to put that song back on YouTube give thanks and move on Youtube can't lie," Enga wrote. "Let forgive you bro @6ix9ine Your Gooba song is now on YouTube Respect Kenyan Beat King #magixenga."
This arrives after 6ix9ine trolled Lil Tjay on Instagram. A day after igniting beef with the South Bronx artist by mocking the latter's friendly boxing match with YK Osiris, the New York City-born star continued poking fun at it by posting his own boxing video.
In the hilarious clip shared on Friday, May 29, the "FEFE" hitmaker wore a black zip-up jacket with its hoodie on and dark sunglasses, completed with navy green boxing gloves. The funniest part of the video, however, is that he's using his girlfriend Jade as a human sandbag. "Name a rapper who could beat me ... I got the best trainer in the world," he bragged in the caption, before tagging his girlfriend's Instagram handler @__ohsoyoujade.
Tekashi also made headlines when he accused Ariana Grande and Billboard of manipulating Hot 100 chart for her and Justin Bieber's song "Stuck With U". "I'll be real disappointed 'cause this is for every rapper, artist in the world. Every genre. If you manipulate the charts right and you create bundles…'Gooba' streamed over 200 millions streams--more than 'Stuck With U', Doja Cat, more than every artist that released a song this week double the times. It's a landslide," he said in an Instagram video, before adding that Sony and Universal Music requested audits.
He continued, "Because literally, you're manipulating the charts now. So, Billboard, the world is watching ... If y'all do this to every artist in the world, how can an artist that works hard get No. 1? How?"
