Taking part in an Instagram Live with Who What Wear CEO Katherine Power, the 'Charlie's Angels' actress opens up about how she's been coping with newborn daughter during the coronavirus crisis.

AceShowbiz - Cameron Diaz described motherhood as the "best part of my life" while reflecting on how she's been coping with newborn daughter Raddix during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 47-year-old actress announced the surprise arrival of her and husband Benji Madden's little girl in a post on her Instagram page in January, after she was born the month before.

Cameron has since been silent on her social media pages, but returned to Instagram on Tuesday, April 14 to take part in an Instagram Live with her friend and CEO of Who What Wear, Katherine Power.

And during her appearance on the segment, the "Charlie's Angels" star couldn't help but gush about her precious new arrival.

"I love being a mother. It's the best, best, best part of my life," she grinned. "I'm so grateful and so happy and it's the best thing ever and I'm so lucky to do it with Benj and we're having the best time. I'm thrilled. I can't believe it."

She also praised Good Charlotte rocker Benji for his skills with Raddix, adding: "After we do bath time with our baby and we put her to sleep, Benji puts her to bed, he's so good. He's such an amazing father. I'm so lucky he's my baby's father. He's incredible. He puts her down and I go into the kitchen and I pour myself a nice glass of red wine. I start my cooking, I put on my show, whatever it is."

Cameron and Benji have not only had to deal with the stress of first-time parenthood, but they've also had to cope with the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

But the screen star insisted that the lockdown isn't vastly different to her previous life - other than the fact she can't see her friends.

"I've kinda been living a quarantine life anyhow because I have a three-month-old, three-and-a-half-month. So my life has been completely quiet and still for the last few months," she explained. "But I was able to have my friends over all the time. And now I just don't see anybody."

"But it's nice, and I love a bubble and being in the womb of my home with my husband and cooking. But at the same time, it's crazy that you can't go out to the world right now."
