The 'Wonder Woman 1984' actress leads her celebrity pals to do a cover of John Lennon's song, but the podcast host thinks it's timely ill considering many elder people are dying of the coronavirus disease.

AceShowbiz - Gal Gadot's sing-along cover of "Imagine" has left a bitter taste in Joe Rogan's mouth. A little over a week after she led a host of A-list celebrities in singing a rendition of John Lennon's peace anthem to cope with self-isolation amid coronavirus crisis, the "Wonder Woman 1984" actress got called out by the podcast host for the tone-deaf effort.

During the Wednesday, March 25 episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience", Rogan called Gadot's attempt of comforting people "such a dumb move." Discussing the matter with guest Tom Segura, he first asked, "Did you see that 'Imagine' song all those knuckleheads got together to sing?" He continued, "This is not the time when everyone's grannie is dying you f***ing idiot, to sing, 'Imagine there's no heaven...' "

"Gal Gadot, whatever the f**k her name is. Wonder Woman? She's got this beautiful smile on her face and is so happy to sing that," the 52-year-old comedian/TV host protested. "Just like, she's seducing you. It's a terrible version, you guys suck at singing. Why are you even singing publicly?" His statement prompted Segura to add, "I lost my job at the meatpacking plant, but Gal Gadot sang 'Imagine!' "

Accusing Gadot of wanting to be "tight" with A-listers, Rogan went on to say if he ever befriended the "Justice League" star, he would tell her, "Listen, you're awesome. I think you're great. But that is a ridiculous idea. It is so lacking in self-awareness and so ridiculous."

"I mean, Granny died chocking on her own vomit, but I feel like the world's better because Gal Gadot's so pretty. There are some people who get real self-indulgent and real self-righteous with that social media," he said, adding that Gadot's cover was exposing "a lot of celebrities for being real dorks."

Rogan's mocking came days after Gadot posted a video of her covering Lennon's song along with her famous friends. "It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from. We're all in this together," she said in a March 18 video from her "day six in self-quarantine."

After the Gisele Yashar depicter of "Fast & Furious" delivered the opening line of the hit song, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Cara Delevingne, Kristen Wiig, Zoe Kravitz, Sia Furler, Pedro Pascal, Jamie Dornan, Kaia Gerber and Maya Rudolph took over in turns.
