AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is still far from being best friend with Taylor Swift. Although she and the "ME!" singer have declared the end of their bad blood for over a year, the "Roar" hitmaker confessed that the two of them have yet to forge a close relationship, mainly due to their busy schedules.

The "American Idol" judge was asked, in a new interview with Australia's Stellar, about how she characterized her friendship with the 30-year-old hitmaker after appearing in the latter's "You Need To Calm Down" music video. In response, she candidly admitted, "Well, we don't have a very close relationship because we are very busy, but we text a lot."

Though so, the 35-year-old singer could not help but being supportive of the Grammy winner's new Netflix documentary, "Miss Americana". She gushed, "I was impressed by her documentary because I saw some self-awareness starting to happen and I saw a lot of vulnerability. I was really excited for her to be able to show that to the world: that things aren't perfect, they don't have to be and it's more beautiful when they aren't."

Perry also explained why she felt it was important for her to be a part of Swift's 2019 promo. "Even though it was difficult, it was important to make that appearance in the music video because people want people to look up to," she stated. "We wanted it to be an example of unity. Forgiveness is important. It's so powerful. If you can forgive your enemy, that's amazing. As difficult as it is!"

Perry and Swift's feud was brought to attention back in 2014 when the latter claimed her "Bad Blood" song was about the fiancee of Orlando Bloom. "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," Swift spilled to Rolling Stone. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' "

"She did something so horrible," the girlfriend of Joe Alwyn continued. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."

Swift's public confession got Perry to respond online. Firing back via Twitter, the "Teenage Dream" hitmaker simply wrote, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing..."
