AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez is taking her fans back to '80s with her new haircut. Around one week after the launch of her own cosmetics line called "Rare Beauty", the "Lose You to Love Me" singer set Internet abuzz by showing off a shorter, curlier 'do in a series of Instagram selfies.

Debuting the hair transformation on Tuesday night, February 11, the former Disney sweetheart could be seen in the pictures sporting shoulder-length bold curls with full piecey bangs. Warmth and contrast was added to her brunette locks through its caramel and golden highlights.

In the slide show of her selfies, the 27-year-old donned a grey turtleneck sweater and a pair of silver diamond-shaped drop earrings. As for her makeup, she let her beauty shone by going with a bronzed smoky eyes and coral-colored lips. She tagged her cosmetic line "Rare Beauty" in all of the three selfies she uploaded.

Selena's '80 vibe haircut has since garnered many positive reactions. Her BFF Theresa Marie Mingus applauded her new look by commenting, "Favorite hair style hands down!!!!" Max Ehrich of "The Young and the Restless" was also full of praises as he wrote, "Wow. Today is officially blessed." Others called her new hairdo "gorgeous" and "beautiful."

Days earlier, the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber announced her foray to the beauty industry. During an Instagram Live chat with her fans, she revealed that she had started working on "Rare Beauty" since two years ago, adding that she was ready to launch it after finding the right partners and the right team.

Insisting that she "wanted to make a brand where you feel comfortable," the former "Wizards of Waverly Place" star went on to say that her cosmetic line is not just a brand. "It's going to be a lifestyle," she explained. "It's meant to be enjoyed, it's very special. We are not meant to look like everybody else, we're meant to look like ourselves."
