The 'I Don't Care' hitmaker is set to face the St. Louis Blues goaltender in a head-to-head shootout with a $10,000 donation to a charity of Justin's choice as the prize should the singer win.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber has a big challenge ahead of him. On New Year's Day, the "What Do You Mean?" hitmaker shared with fans that he is heading to a shootout showdown against pro athlete Jordan Binnington after accepting an ice hockey challenge thrown by the St. Louis Blues goaltender.

The competition invite came just days after Bieber made public a video of him scoring a goal while playing hockey. In the caption part of the Instagram post, the husband of Hailey Baldwin bragged, "Like my wife always says.... I got good hands." Intrigued, Binnington wrote in the comment section, "10 breakaways me vs. you. You score on me and I'll dye my hair platinum blond."

Upping the ante even further, Bieber suggested that they should go head-to-head for a good cause. "How bout 10 thousand dollars to charity I score and you donate to a charity of my choice and we film it," the "I Don't Care" singer offered as he shared the screenshot of the NHL player's showdown pitch.

Binnington has yet to respond to the upgraded stake, but many proposed the upcoming NHL All-Star Game as a potential place to do the showdown between the two stars. St. Louis will host the 2020 game on January 25.

Bieber was no stranger to shootout game. Back in 2017, the ex-boyfriend of Selena Gomez has taken part in the NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout game in Los Angeles. Though missing two penalty shots, he helped his team to get a 5-3 victory by scoring a goal.

During the friendly game, the Canadian-born crooner was memorably driven into the Staples Center glass by Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Pronger. Yet, his skills on ice earned him praises from his then-teammate, actor Cuba Gooding Jr., who gushed, "I was shocked at how good the kid can play. He really has nice skills, and he's a real sweet kid, too."
