The 'American Idol' alum gives the daughter of her husband David Foster a personal wedding gift while attending Erin and Simon Tikhman's wedding ceremony.

AceShowbiz - Katharine McPhee has a personal wedding gift for her stepdaughter. The season 5 runner-up of "American Idol" attended the New Year's Eve nuptials of Erin Foster and her businessman partner, Simon Tikhman, and delivered a serenade for the newlyweds and their guests at the reception.
In a video uploaded to Instagram Story by the photo-sharing site's Vice President of Global Partnerships Charles Porch, the singer wife of music producer David Foster could be seen taking the stage to perform a rendition of Sara Bareilles' "She Used to Be Mine". On the clip, Charles wrote, "@KATHERINEFOSTER BRINGING IT."
It was not Katharine's only performance on the special night. The 35-year-old has reportedly teamed up with her husband for a live duet of "Proud Mary". Aside from the "Scorpion" actress' performance, Charles' Instagram Story feed also uncovered another famous guest, Kate Hudson, taking on the mic to showcase her singing ability.
While Katharine's took place during the wedding reception, Kate's happened after the wedding. A source told E! News, "After the wedding, everyone changed into comfortable clothes and went back to the Graduate Hotel's karaoke bar Cross Eyed Critters. Kate got up on stage to sing a great rendition of 'Shallow.' Erin and her friends were up on stage singing along and having a great time."
Katharine's performance itselt has been set months before the big day. Back in November, Erin confirmed that her new stepmother would provide entertainment for her wedding guest. Met at the MIRROR Westfield Century City grand opening event, she spilled to E! News, "They're free, are you kidding? Right? It's free built in entertainment."
"So Kat wrote me the other day, she was like, 'Is there anything that I can be doing to help you prepare?' And I said, 'Yes. Vocal exercises. Prepare your voice because you will be performing.' She's like, 'OK'," the 37-year-old writer dished. "She truly has such a beautiful voice. Simon and I are real fans of her so I'm very excited."
Erin's wedding itself took place in Nashville, Tennessee, four months after Simon popped the question at Napa Valley Reserve in California. Her wedding guests included Jennifer Meyer, Rachel Zoe, Jonah Hill and makeup artist Aliana Lopez.
