The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has released a statement to address the 'Suge' rapper's arrest, adding that it is launching an investigation to determine if the officers 'followed department policies and directives.'

AceShowbiz - DaBaby's arrest in Charlotte has prompted an Internal Affairs investigation on the officers involved in the incident. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced this while addressing the arrest in a statement released via its official Twitter page on Tuesday, December 24.
CMPD confirmed that officers arrested the rapper and charged him with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, resisting and obstruction following his concert on Monday night, December 23. He was issued two citations before he was let go.
The department added that it has launched an Internal Affairs investigation "to determine if Officers followed department polices and directives during the incident." It's unclear if the related officers would be placed on leave.
Previously, footage of the "Kirk" spitter being arrested after his gig made its way out on the web. In some videos, he could be seen being surrounded by cops. He also appeared to have his hands handcuffed.
Following the incident, he took to Instagram Stories to call out police for always targeting him. "Dirty a** police department try to take me to jail every time I got a show in the city," he complained. He also ranted on Instagram Live, claiming Charlotte police illegally searched and arrested him.
Earlier this month, DaBaby was held by customs at the Canadian border for three hours ahead of his concert in Toronto. The Cleveland-born rapper who originated from Charlotte, North Carolina took to Instagram to call for Drake's help. "Somebody call Drake & tell em they done had Baby hemmed up at Customs for 3 hours," he wrote along with photos of him at what looked like an airport while holding his passport.
"The past is the past, Ima angel now," he continued, suggesting that he was being held by the authorities because of his past criminal records, which included drug and weapons charges. DaBaby, however, claimed that he's a changed man now, adding, "We don't wanna see our rap sheets we here for the #KirkTour #LETUSIN."
He eventually made it in time for his show later in the night.
