Expressing her disappointment at Hollywood Foreign Press Association over its 2020 nominations, Alma Har'el tells her followers to 'not look for justice in the awards system.'

AceShowbiz - "Honey Boy" director Alma Har'el has lashed out at Hollywood Foreign Press Association officials after they snubbed female directors among the Golden Globes Awards nominees.
The filmmaker, who teamed up with Shia LaBeouf for the biographical drama the actor also wrote, took to Twitter on Monday, December 09, to express her disappointment over the list of nods for the 2020 ceremony.
"Good morning to everyone that's writing me about the #goldenglobes I feel you but know this (sic)," she posted. "I was on the inside for the first time this year. These are not our people and they do not represent us. Do not look for justice in the awards system. We are building a new world."
She ended her note by urging followers to "keep fighting" for inclusion in film, sharing her belief that award recognition is less important than representation.
"Keep fighting for more women & POC (people of colour) behind the camera by supporting their films. Don't make your end game the political money that trades hands in the form of movie campaigns for people who can't see us and recognize us."
Awards show experts were shocked by snubs for Har'el, "Little Women (2019)" director Greta Gerwig, "The Farewell"'s Lulu Wang, "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood"'s Marielle Heller, and "Hustlers" filmmaker Lorene Scafaria.
