AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt cracked a "Titanic" joke aimed at his "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards. The 56-year-old won Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his portrayal of a stunt double named Cliff Booth in the Quentin Tarantino-directed film.

Giving a shout-out to his "partner in crime, LDC" in his acceptance speech, he praised "The Revenant" star, "He's an all-star. He's a gent and I wouldn't be here without you, man. I thank you." He then added, "Still, I would have shared the raft," referring to the long debate about whether DiCaprio's Jack could have fit on the door with Kate Winslet's Rose in the James Cameron movie.

The camera then panned to DiCaprio, who responded with a big smile from his seat, while the audience erupted in laughter.

Fans have also quickly reacted to Pitt's joke on Twitter, with some people calling him a "legend." One wrote, "Brad calling Leo 'LDC' and getting off a TITANIC joke = absolute legend." Another similarly posted, "Still, I would've shared the raft.' - Legend Brad Pitt to Leo DiCaprio re: TITANIC controversy- and thus proving why he's a legend."

A third user added, "Brad Pitt making a Titanic joke during his #GoldenGlobes acceptance speech? *chefs kiss*" Someone else chimed in, "Who knew Brad was a comedian? He would have shared the raft. Me too, LDC, me too #GoldenGlobes."

Elsewhere in his speech, Pitt gave "all my respect" to his fellow nominees, including Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. He also thanked Tarantino "for the film, one I'll never forget." He added, "I thank you, my brother. I really appreciate it."

He additionally joked about his numerous dating rumors while mentioning his parents. "They're back in the Ozarks," he said of his father and mother. "I wanted to bring my mom but I couldn't because any woman I stand next to they say I'm dating, and it would just be awkward."

Earlier that night when he was interviewed on the red carpet, Pitt was asked about the possibility of him running into his ex Jennifer Aniston at the Sunday, January 5 event. "I'll run into Jen, she's a good friend. Yeah," he told ET. "The second most important reunion of her year? I understand," he jokingly continued, adding, "That was a play on 'Friends'. They were saying that."

Aniston attended the ceremony as she was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series - Drama for her role on "The Morning Show". She, however, lost the title to "The Crown" star Olivia Colman.
