AceShowbiz - Erin Andrews recently landed in hot water after she appeared to give reserved reaction when Hannah Brown was crowned the winner of season 28 "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, November 25. As soon as the big announcement was made, Erin, who was standing beside Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson, was seen sporting a stoic face.
A viewer who took notice that took to Twitter to express his/her opinion, "Oooooo @ErinAndrews looked less than impressed with the outcome of #DWTS." It didn't take long before the host responded to the tweet and defend herself.
"Give me a break. YOU CAN'T WIN IN THIS SITUATION," she said, before explaining, "I'm standing next to the couple that just got second place. And if I had cheered, you'd be killing me for going against the Kel, Lauren, and Ally. Not that serious people!"
In separate tweet, she went on saying, "Ahahahah you don't get it. In this day and age, we can't say a thing. You'll get killed no matter what. I have to look dead into the camera bc people are threatening you don't like a contestant. Sad, taken the fun out of it! Cheers!"
However, fans didn't seem to buy her words. "...but you did congratulate/ applaud Bobby Bones last year, who was a far worse dancer than Hannah. She did a great job all season. Your reaction was very rude and unprofessional," one fan replied under Erin's tweet. Another person added, "Sorry @ErinAndrews. I'm a fan normally, but your unprofessionalism was appalling. We're you still recovering from your duties at the Patriots blustery weather game from the day before??? Smmmh. #disappointed."
"Except for one main thing you're forgetting. This is the 1st time you've ever done this. Every other time you're happy & excited & congratulating the winner," someone else noted. "Yet not this time. So I do get it. You were clearly disgusted and nothing you can say will change that. And I was a fan!!!"
"I just looked at a video of Erin's reaction when Bobby Bones (an unlikely winner) won. She was so happy she was literally jumping up and down - despite standing near the losers. Quite a sharp difference from last night's reaction," the person continued.
Another person seemingly alluded that people took things seriously. "I read this and thought it was about something real...and then I realized it was about dancing," he tweeted, to which Erin replied, "EXACTLY...now back to that fball game."
Hannah and her pro partner Alan Bersten were presented with the coveted Mirrorball trophy at the season finale after edging out Kel and Witney who were the runner-up. Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko were announced as the fourth place finisher. Meanwhile, Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber came out in the third place.
