AceShowbiz - Actor Charles Levin died from an accidental fall, a report has confirmed.

The 70-year-old actor, best known for his roles on TV shows such as "Seinfeld", "Night Court" and "Golden Girls", was found at the bottom of a ravine in a remote area of Oregon back in July.

It was rumoured at the time that Levin may have taken his own life, but both suicide and foul play were ruled out in the report, released on Sunday, November 10, according to USA Today.

The report also revealed details of how Levin's tragic demise occurred, stating that he had been driving his distinctive orange Fiat when he got lost and stranded near Cave Junction. While the Fiat was found to be completely stuck, there was evidence that it had been attempted to be freed, authorities said.

Levin was discovered around four miles away from the vehicle, at the bottom of the ravine, where authorities believe he had been trying to get help. The report added gruesome details such as Levin being found naked without "external genitalia present", while his body had been partially scavenged by vultures.

As well as his small screen roles, which included a recurring part as Elliot Novak on CBS sitcom "Alice", father-of-three Levin starred in movies such as "Annie Hall" and "This Is Spinal Tap".
