AceShowbiz - Mel B (Melanie Brown) threw her $47,675 (£37,000) wedding ring in the trash - despite claiming she only had $1030 (£800) to her name.
Back in August, it was reported the singer's income had dried up following the Spice Girls' hugely successful U.K. stadium tour, with legal papers obtained by Britain's Daily Mail newspaper claiming: "(Mel) has been looking for work both in the United States and in the United Kingdom, but unfortunately she has not been successful. At the present moment, Melanie is unemployed."
The "Wannabe" star later claimed she had just $1030 to her name, following her divorce from ex Stephen Belafonte, and the singer has now revealed in a chat with pop star Jamelia and journalist Amy Nickell on Badoo's Truth Flirts podcast she tossed the ring, despite its massive value.
"I didn't lose my wedding ring, I threw mine," Mel claimed.
Mel and Stephen wed in in June 2007, and split in March of 2017. The singer has claimed her ex abused her during their marriage, and alleged he came between her and her family.
Stephen has denied her claims of spousal abuse.
Meanwhile, Mel has landed a new presenting gig on British comedy panel show "Celebrity Juice", and is reportedly set to host her own online dating show on social network Badoo aimed at romance-seekers.
