The former NBC employee breaks her silence shortly after the embattled television newsman released a statement denying allegations that he sexually assaulted her back in 2014.

AceShowbiz - Booke Nevils has hit back at disgraced U.S. TV newsman Matt Lauer's statement denying allegations he raped his former NBC co-worker.
Nevils has detailed her extramarital relations with the fired "Today" host in journalist Ronan Farrow's new book, "Catch and Kill", claiming Lauer lured her back to his hotel room while she was covering the Sochi Olympics in 2014, pushed her against the door and kissed her, before pushing her onto the bed, "flipping her over, (and) asking if she liked anal sex."
She alleges he then proceeded to rape her.
Lauer insists her allegations are "filled with false details" and in a new statement, he insists that he and Nevils "performed oral sex on each other," and had vaginal and anal sex, adding, "Each act was mutual and completely consensual."
However, in a statement to NBC News on Wednesday, October 9, Nevils fired back at the defence, labelling it "a case study in victim blaming."
"There's a Matt Lauer that millions of Americans watched on TV every morning for two decades. And there is the Matt Lauer who this morning attempted to bully a former colleague into silence," the star wrote. "His open letter was a case study in victim blaming. I am not afraid of him now regardless of his threats, bullying, and the shaming and predatory tactics I knew he would and now has tried to use against me."
Lauer was fired from the Today show back in 2017 when Nevils, who then remained anonymous, initially complained about him. Although Nevils maintained she didn't want any money off the back of the allegations, she was eventually paid a "seven figure" sum.
