AceShowbiz - "The Voice" returned for season 17 on Monday, September 23. The new season featured Gwen Stefani returning as a coach, joining boyfriend Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson. During the first night of Blind Auditions, things got interesting when Gwen decided to get in Blake's way to score a talented country singer.

The first singer was Katie Kadan. The coaches were blown away with a performance from Katie who belted out "Baby I Love You" by Aretha Franklin. All four coaches turned their chairs for her, but then Kelly realized that she was blocked by Blake. Eventually, Katie picked John as her coach.

Jake Haldenvang took to the stage to perform "Wish I Knew You" by The Revivalists. Blake, Gwen and John didn't waste much time as he pressed his button right after the first verse. Jake went to Team Gwen. The next singer was drag performer Jay Miah who opted for "Never Enough" from "The Greatest Showman". Unfortunately, he didn't get any chair turns.

Next up was country singer Brennan Lassiter, who opted to sing "You Are My Sunshine". She got a four-chair turn and each coach tried their best to get Brennan in their team. Gwen even tried to use a dirty tactic by saying, "Blake's my best friend. If I ever have to tap in for an emergency, he's going to help me! That's just a fact! If you get me, you get him. It's two for one!" However, Kelly was the winner of the mini battle.

Rose Short performed John's song "Preach". Kelly and Gwen loved it, with Rose joining Team Gwen. Following it up was Will Breman, who performed a jazz rendition of "Say You'll Be There" by the Spice Girls, much to John and Gwen's liking. He even had a duet of "Ordinary People" with John. Unsurprisingly, Will went to Team John.

Singing "Love & Happiness" by Al Green, Alex Guthrie convinced Kelly and Gwen to turn their chairs. He told Kelly that he was the opening act for Kelly's concert last year and he chose her to be his coach. Kat Hammock then hit the stage to sing Billy Joel's "Vienna". It was a battle of the lovebirds as Blake and Gwen were the only ones who turned. Kat picked to be on Team Blake.

Timmy Hood, meanwhile, sang "Make It Rain" by Ed Sheeran but no one turned for him. CJ Washington followed it up with a rendition of Al Green's "So Tired of Being Alone" and was also left without a chair turn. Marina Chello then hit the stage to sing "Walk Me Home" by Pink. Blake and Kelly turned their chairs and she chose Team Blake even though Gwen advocated for Kelly.

The last audition of the night was from country singer Kyndal Inskeep. Gwen wanted her to be on her team so she blocked Blake so that he couldn't nab her for his team. "You're personally responsible for breaking up one of America's favorite couples!" John joked, with Blake adding, "It's never good when your girlfriend blocks you. This is a whole new level! This is on national television!"

With the help of Blake during the pitch, Kyndal went to Team Gwen.
