While the 'Ghostbusters' star is leaving the variety sketch show, her long-time castmates Kate McKinnon and Kenan Thompson will be back as a regular for another run.

AceShowbiz - Actress and comedian Leslie Jones has exited "Saturday Night Live" after five seasons as a cast member on the hit sketch show.

The "Ghostbusters (2016)" star will not be back as a regular when the weekly show returns next month, but other long-time castmates Kate McKinnon and Kenan Thompson will be back for another run.

Jones, who previously served as a writer on "SNL" when she first joined the show in 2014, currently has a slate of films in the works, including "I Am Maurice", "Queenpins" and "Coming 2 America", in which she'll star opposite another former "SNL" regular, Eddie Murphy.

"Saturday Night Live"'s season 45 premieres on 24 September with host Woody Harrelson as host and musical guest Billie Eilish.

Murphy will be back to host the show for the first time in 35 years when he fronts the Christmas episode on 21 December.
