AceShowbiz - The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint's $14 million (£11.6 million) estate was almost halved by millions owed in debts and taxes.
The "Firestarter" hitmaker built up a $14 million (£11.6 million) fortune before his tragic death aged 49 in March. But official figures from the U.K. Probate Office, obtained by Britain's The Sun newspaper, show his fortune was slashed to just $5.2 million (£4.3 million) after his affairs were fully settled.
According to the documents, his pub firm De Bohun Inns Limited had racked up debts of $603,617 (£500,000), despite the fact the star was still earning millions from his work with The Prodigy, receiving $1.8 million (£1.5 million) over the past two years from touring and record sales.
Once his other debts were settled, it emerged his estate was worth less than half of its previously estimated value.
The Prodigy frontman was found dead at his home near Dunmow, Essex on March 4. Days before his death, the star had put the $1.8 million (£1.5 million) property up for sale.
At the time, his bandmate Liam Howlett told fans in an Instagram post that his friend "took his own life," and a coroner later heard the star had taken a cocktail of drugs and booze before hanging himself, at an inquest into the musician's death.
