'Gossip Girl' Gets Reboot Treatment Eight Years After Final Season

It is still unclear which original stars of the beloved teen drama will make a return, but the new series will feature ten fresh episodes and will air on streaming service HBO Max.

AceShowbiz - "Gossip Girl" is the latest TV series set for a revival.

Ten new episodes of the beloved teen drama, which ran from 2007 to 2012, will air on new streaming service HBO Max.

The series will kick off eight years after the show concluded its six season run and follow a new generation of private school teens living in New York City.

Original producers Joshua Safran, Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Leslie Morgenstein have signed on to develop the show.

Based on Cecily von Ziegesar's young adult novels, "Gossip Girl" originally starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, and Taylor Momsen. It is not yet known if any of the original cast members will be reprising their roles.
