Artist of the Week: Chris Brown
Music

The 'Look at Me Now' hitmaker's ability to still produce good music amid all the personal problems that he faces is truly something that is worth praising.

AceShowbiz - Despite all the personal problems that Chris Brown experienced throughout his career, his ability to still produce good music is truly something that's worth praising. Beside receiving positive reviews from music critics, his work has always been well received by people and doing well on numerous music charts.

Let's take his eighth studio album, "Heartbreak on a Full Moon", as an example. Described as one of the "most ambitious albums of its time," the double-disc album arrived at No. 3 on Billboard 200 and ruled the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, becoming his seventh No. 1 album. The album was even certified gold by RIAA just one week after its release, making Brown the first R&B male artist that went gold in a week since Usher's "Confessions" in 2004.

Brown is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming album "Indigo" as he has shared several singles ahead of its release. His collaboration with Drake on "No Guidance" was something that people truly anticipated since the two had been teasing it since October 2018, when the Canadian rapper brought Brown on his "Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour" date in Los Angeles and publicly ended their feud.

And it appears the full version of the track didn't fail to live up to people's expectation judging by its chart performance. "No Guidance" peaked at No. 9 and No. 6 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts respectively. Also doing well in other countries, it reached No. 6 in the United Kingdom and No. 7 in Australia.

In addition to Drake, Brown is working with the likes of Tyga, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj for "Indigo", which is set for a June 28 release. In support of the album, Brown will be embarking on a summer tour along with Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign and Joyner Lucas.
