AceShowbiz - The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards isn't going to air until Monday, June 17, but the festivities already began this weekend when the show was taped on Saturday, June 15. Taking place at the Barkar Hangar in Santa Monica, California, the event attracted a bunch of celebrities who brought their wide range of styles on the red carpet.
Among those stealing the spotlight was Jada Pinkett Smith, who literally shone in her sparkly silver suit. The blazer featured a low neckline, but the "Gotham" alum wore a black top underneath to keep her modesty. She paired the suit with simple black stilettos.
Tana Mongean made a statement in her dollar bills dress that also had a silver plate plastered over her torso for an unknown reason. Meanwhile, Nick Cannon started the internet chatter with his red-and-black face mask and an armor that looked like a bulletproof vest. Both items were made by Louis Vuitton. He completed his look with matching sneakers, slim sunglasses, khaki joggers which were pulled up to his calves and big gold chains.
People were trolling Nick because of his outfit on Twitter, with one comparing his mask to those worn by "Mortal Kombat" characters. "It looks like a Project Runway S&M challenge fail," one joked. Another quipped, "The Masked Singer [laughing out loud]."
Lala Kent turned heads in her sheer long-sleeve black dress that almost revealed all. The lace gown included tight fitted leggings with a black open-front skirt that tied around her waist and graced the floor for a dramatic look as the "Vanderpump Rules" star styled her hair in an updo.
Alexa Demie also showed some skin in a long dress with a very plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit on the front part. The dress also featured an open back with a long train, with bold colors that are perfect for summer.
