The wife of Justin Timberlake takes the heat from public after meeting anti-vaccine crusader Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lobby against a California state pro-vaccine bill.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Biel, who rarely opens up about her family and son Silas, has revealed her stance in child vaccination. The 37-year-old actress and mother of one surprised many people after she met Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lobby against a California state pro-vaccine bill on Tuesday, June 11.

Robert posted on Tuesday a series of pictures that showed them talking with several legislators. "Please say thank you to the courageous @jessicabiel for a busy and productive day at the California State House," he wrote in the caption without going into detail of what they were talking about during the meeting.

But since the lawyer and environmental activist is known as an anti-vaccination advocate, many concluded that Jessica is also an anti-vaxxer.

Moreover, Devin Matthis, a Republican assemblyman in California, shared on Facebook a picture with "The Sinner" star. He wrote, "It was great seeing Jessica Biel this afternoon in the Capitol. It's awesome to have amazing partners and advocates for parental rights like her! Keep the fight alive. #VoteNoOnSB276 #CasaDeservesBetter."

People were not impressed by Jessica's activism. Leah Russin, executive director of Vaccinate California, who co-sponsored the bill, reacted to the Emmy-nominated actress' meeting with Robert, "A Hollywood celebrity...should not have credibility on an issue about how to regulate the medical profession, when an overwhelming number of medical professionals support this bill. It's the Jenny McCarthy show all over again."

A Twitter user wrote, "This is such a bad look for Biel. How disappointing." Another posted, "Finding out Jessica Biel is an anti-vaxxer makes my lowkey disdain for her all these years feel valid." Another comment read, "Jessica Biel has been outed as an anti-vaxxer so now we have to cancel a second 7th Heaven cast member."

SB 276 is a California state bill that would limit medical exemptions from vaccinations without approval from a state public health officer. Official estimates say the bill would cut down medical exemptions by about 40 percent.

Explaining their cause, Robert told The Daily Beast that he and Jessica are fighting against the political "red tape" that would force kids to receive vaccinations. He went on defending the actress, "I would say that she was for safe vaccines and for medical freedom."

Praising Jessica as "extremely well-informed" about the issue, the Democrat added, "The biggest problem with the bill, which is something I think Jessica is concerned with is that a doctor who has made a determination-if he has found children in this state whose doctors have determined that they’re too fragile to receive vaccinations-this bill would overrule the doctors and force them to be vaccinated anyways."

Jenny McCarthy and Kristin Cavallari are among stars who have previously joined anti-vaccination movement.
