Inspired by the aesthetic of the 1970s, the visuals features several individuals who change after using mysterious green glowing potions as the singer performs the song in a club.

AceShowbiz - Adam Lambert has returned with a new single and its accompanying music video. Titled "New Eyes", the soulful and sexy song will be included on the singer's forthcoming album "Velvet" and is a throwback to '70s classic rock song with a mix of soul and funk, as well as a splash of Arctic Monkeys and Pink Floyd.

The music video itself is inspired by the aesthetic of the 1970s and features a number of stories that are unfold by mysterious green glowing potions. After using the potions, a couple becomes intoxicated and starts kissing passionately while an elder man begins laughing hysterically. Adam himself is seen in the video performing the song in a club, singing about being taken by the romantic spell of someone's mysterious gaze.

"I really wasn't seeing all the things I should see/ Damn, I was getting jaded 'til the day you looked at me," the "American Idol" runner-up croons. "You got those new eyes, honey/ Virgin-like blue skies sunny/ Everything that you try/ Everything gets you high, baby."

The end of the music video sees someone entering a club as the words, "To be continued," flicker on the screen. In a statement accompanying the release of the song, it is revealed that the continuation of the music video, likely along with a new song, will be coming soon.

Written by Adam, Paris Carney and Jamie Sierota, "New Eyes" serves as the lead single off his upcoming album "Velvet". He says of the song in a statement, "I wanted my first single to reflect my current state of mind and to bring listeners into a romantic, earthy vibe. 'New Eyes' is a love letter to innocence and to finding new passion."

Adam is set to debut live performance of "New Eyes" in the season finale of "American Idol" on Sunday, May 19.
