AceShowbiz - When "Game of Thrones" ends, Kit Harington is ready to put it behind and move on. The Jon Snow depicter reveals in a new interview that it will be the last time he plays roles like the King in the North of the hit HBO show.
"I don't want to try and repeat Jon Snow," the 32-year-old actor tells Harper's Bazaar. When asked what he wants to play next, he explains, "Maybe something slightly lighter."
Of "Game of Thrones", Kit says, "It's a very heavy, heavy show, heavy role. So something which is a bit lighter, a bit funnier maybe. Other than that, I don't really know."
Kit showed off his comedic side while hosting "Saturday Night Live" last April. The "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" star took questions from his "Game of Thrones" co-stars who asked for spoilers of the series' final season.
During the interview, the British actor also said that he kept something for himself that would remind him of his iconic TV character. While he wasn't allowed to take any souvenirs from the show, Kit revealed, "I got my gloves. I kept my gloves."
In related news, HBO recently dropped a trailer for its upcoming "Game of Thrones" documentary which is called "Game of Thrones: The Last Watch". The trailer featured the table read for episode 6, which serves as the last episode, of the eighth and final season of the fan-favorite fantasy drama. Kit was seen looking emotional while joining other cast members in the table read.
"Game of Thrones: The Last Watch" is described as a chronicle of the show's "most ambitious and complicated season." It will delve "deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland."
Labeling it as a featuring film, HBO further describes "The Last Watch" as "a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world -- and then have to say goodbye to it."
"The Last Watch" will air on May 26 on HBO, a week after "Game of Thrones" airs series finale on May 19.
