Anthony Mackie and Miley Cyrus Explore Techno-Paranoia on Season 5 of 'Black Mirror'

The newly-released trailer for the Netflix drama's new season presents the 'Avengers: Endgame' actor as a husband searching for online hook-up and the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker as futuristic pop star.

AceShowbiz - Anthony Mackie and Miley Cyrus will lead the cast of the new season on Netflix drama "Black Mirror".

The two stars will join Topher Grace, Nicole Beharie, and Pom Klementieff, among others for season five, which will premiere on June 5.

All three standalone episodes be available from that date and a new trailer launched on Wednesday, May 15.

Created by Charlie Brooker, the anthology series revolves around "our collective unease with the modern world".

A Netflix press release reads: "Each stand-alone episode (is) a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable - and sometimes unsettling - conclusion. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm - a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone - a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us."

In the new season trailer, Cyrus plays a pop star preparing for a massive gig, while Mackie plays a spouse searching for a hook-up online.
