AceShowbiz - Rumer Willis is welcoming Shawn Mendes to the family, should the 20-year-old singer consider to pursue a romantic relationship with her mother Demi Moore. The eldest daughter of Demi and her ex-husband Bruce Willis jokingly trolled the Canadian heartthrob for hanging out with her mother at the 2019 Met Gala.
Sharing evidence of their encounter, Demi took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 7 to post a photo of her sitting next to Shawn. Seemingly having grown close to each other during the Monday, May 6 event, the 56-year-old actress nuzzled up to Shawn's shoulder as they both flashed beaming smiles.
The "Charlie's Angels" star made no secret that she has grown fond of Shawn as she praised him in the caption, "My table mate. Love this kid, such an artist and a sweet soul!" Reacting to her mother's post, Rumer, wittingly wrote in the comment section, "My New Stepdad."
Demi has been married three times, to singer Freddy Moore who is 12 years her senior from 1980 to 1985, to Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000, and to Ashton Kutcher who is 15 years younger than her from 2005 to 2013. She shares three daughters with Bruce, 30-year-old Rumer, 27-year-old Scout Willis and 25-year-old Tallulah Willis.
Demi's appearance at the Met Gala marked her first in eight years. She wowed in a black Saint Laurent gown which featured a neckline plunging and a tuxedo collar at this year's annual fund-raising event, posing with Saint Laurent artistic director Anthony Vaccarello on the pink carpet.
Shawn himself looked gorgeous that night in a black, embellished suit, also from Saint Laurent. Vogue has just shared a behind-the-scenes video showing the "Stitches" crooner preparing for the big night. He stripped down to his underwear and got shirtless before putting on his outfit for the event.
