Katy Perry and her former husband Russell Brand apparently were not interested in spending his 35th birthday in an ordinary place. Literally going out of this world, the "E.T." singer gifted Brand a seat aboard Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space ship for the sky high price of $200,000 for 2 tickets. The plane gave their passengers the chance to experience anti-gravity for five minutes before reentering the Earth's atmosphere.
"Russell and I are interested in anything extraterrestrial. I mean, we're going to space! We're really excited," the singer said. "There's a group of people that work with Richard Branson, and he does the Virgin flights, and for Russell's birthday, I got him a flight to space. Because I just thought, 'What else can I give this man?' " Unfortunately, the pair split before they could live out their astronaut dreams.
