The latest single from her upcoming album 'Madame X' is released after her performance of the album's first single 'Medellin' at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - Madonna has debuted another track of her upcoming album "Madame X". Titled "I Rise", the song opens with a political statement as it features a cut of Emma Gonzalez's speech during a gun control rally in Florida in February 2018.

"Us kids don't know what we're talking about, that we're too young to understand how the government works. We call BS," a fiery Gonzalez says at the beginning of the audio. Gonzalez is a survivor of the February 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.

The mid-tempo piece features touches of autotune as the lyrics are filled with self-empowering messages. "There's nothing you can do to me that hasn't been done/ Not bulletproof, shouldn't have to run from a gun/ River of tears ran dry, let 'em run/ No game that you can play with me, I ain't one," Madonna sings. She continues in the pre-chorus, "Died a thousand times/ Managed to survive (I managed to survive)/ I can't break down now/ I can't take that (I can't take that)."

"I Rise" was written by Jason Evigan, Ciccone and Brittany Talia Hazzard a.k.a. Starrah, who contributed to other songs in "Madame X". Madonna co-produced the song along with Evigan.

The new single is released following Madonna's debut performance of "Medellin", the first single off the upcoming album, at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The 60-year-old pop diva was joined by Colombian superstar Maluma during her set.

Madonna's new album is set to hit the stores on June 14, featuring collaborations with Quavo on "Future" and with Swae Lee on "Crave" among other tracks. She recently teased the possibility of following up the album with a tour.

"Uh, it's... it's been spoken about in such a deep way," she told Billboard backstage after her performance at the Monday, May 2 event, "that I'm actually having production meetings." When asked if the tour is probably happening, she responded, "Yes!"
