The co-founder of the Fifth Ward rap group opens up that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in February, and initially hid the news from group mates, Scarface and Willie D.

AceShowbiz - Geto Boys founder Bushwick Bill is battling stage four pancreatic cancer.

The 52-year-old told TMZ.com that he was diagnosed back in February, claiming doctors initially believed a mass they found on his pancreas was benign.

He is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy, but said it's too early to tell how he's responding to treatment. Stage four pancreatic cancer is usually terminal, with sufferers surviving under a year.

Bill, real name Richard Stephen Shaw, said he had not told fellow Geto Boys founders Scarface and Willie D about his illness but he no longer wanted to keep his tragic secret to himself and is "not afraid of dying."

He added that he is in the process of recording three albums to provide a nest egg for his children should the worst happen.

Geto Boys found fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their explicit lyrics covering controversial topics, which influenced a host of later acts including Eminem, Nas, and Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.).
