The Hawkeye TV series is the latest project that is currently being developed for the forthcoming streaming service, joining previously-greenlit projects about Loki and Scarlet Witch.

AceShowbiz - Another standalone series is reportedly in the works for Disney+, Disney's upcoming streaming service. A new report suggests that it is developing a series centering on Marvel Hawkeye character. Further exciting fans, it is said that Jeremy Renner will reprise the role for the project.

According to Variety, the planned series is pitched as an adventure series of archery master Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye. He will pass the torch to Kate Bishop, a member of the group known as the Young Avengers, and first female to take the Hawkeye name after Clint Barton.

Disney and Marvel as well as reps for Renner declined to comment on the matter.

Renner has been playing Hawkeye since 2011 after he made an uncredited cameo in "Thor". He later starred in "The Avengers", "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War". He will next be seen reprising the role in highly-anticipated "Avengers: Endgame", in which he will be seemingly getting a make-over including a new codename: Ronin.

The Hawkeye TV series is the latest project that is currently being developed for the forthcoming streaming service. Prior to this, it was reported that Disney+ greenlit miniseries featuring Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch Marvel characters.

The Loki TV series had "Rick and Morty" writer Michael Waldron attached to pen the pilot in addition to serving as show creator and executive producing the project. A source also previously revealed that it would follow Loki as "the trickster and shape-shifter pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events."

It remains to be seen what time period that the new series will take place in. However, fans assume that it will most likely set in Europe given the Norse inspiration behind the character. Not to mention that Loki is able to get off of Asgard without anyone noticing, so it would be interesting to see the adventures he has on Earth.
