The 'Fast and Furious' actor seems to confirm his involvement in the sci-fi movies as he posts a video featuring him and director James Cameron on the movie's set.

AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel is joining the world of "Avatar". The Dominic Toretto in "The Fast and the Furious" film series seems to confirm his involvement in the long-awaited sequels to the hit 2009 movie as he posts on Instagram a video featuring director James Cameron taken from the set of the "Avatar" sequels.

"Ok, so here we are on the set of 'Avatar 2, 3, 4' and '5'. This is top secret. This is like the 'Manhattan Project'," the filmmaker says in the video as the hunky actor holds the camera. "[I'm] with my ol' buddy, Vin, and we're actually gonna give him the flashy thing from 'Men in Black' when he leaves here, so he has no memory whatsoever of what he's seen because he cannot carry the tale," Cameron jokingly adds. "And you guys actually, we're gonna have to flash you, too, because you're not cleared either. This is top secret s**t."

Diesel adds, "You never saw this." He goes on sharing his excitement to be finally able to work with the "Titanic" helmer, "But I'll tell you, it's long overdue. There is one person in Hollywood I've always wanted to work with and learn from." He points his hand to Cameron, before adding, "All things come, I guess, to those who've earned it."

Toward the end of the video, Cameron tells Diesel, "You will learn, grasshopper." The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" actor replies in a deep voice, "I'm learning now."

With the projects being shrouded in secrecy, Diesel's role in the movie remains unknown. He is joining Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Zoe Saldana (Neytiri), Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch), Sigourney Weaver (Dr. Grace Augustine) and Giovanni Ribisi (Parker Selfridge) who are reprising their respective roles in the sequels. Kate Winslet and Edie Falco have also been added to the cast in undisclosed roles.

"Avatar 2" is due out in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2020, followed by three more sequels in 2021, 2024 and 2025. Cameron is currently filming the second and third films back-to-back. He has said that the fourth and fifth movies will only be made if "Avatar 2" and "3" are successful.
