AceShowbiz - Upcoming season 8 of "Game of Thrones" will see Danerys Targaryen arriving at Winterfell where she will be meeting Sansa Stark for the very first time. The HBO hit series has unleashed a slew of photos featuring the Mother of Dragons' time in the North, though it doesn't seem like she will be greeted with a warm welcome.

In addition to Dany and Sansa, the newly-released stills offer a look at Brienne of Tarth, Bran Stark, Sir Jorah, Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister. Most of the characters are sporting dead-serious expression, hinting at the frosty welcome that Dany most likely will be getting upon her arrival.

Despite that, one particular photo sees Dany smiling warmly at someone who is off-camera. It remains to be seen if the pic is taken from one of the scenes in the new season or it's taken in between the filming.

HBO previously announced that it would be airing a two-hour documentary titled "Game of Thrones: The Last Watch". The doc is described as a chronicle of the show's "most ambitious and complicated season." It will delve "deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland."

The doc will also feature the "trenches of production" in addition to including footage of "the crew and the cast as they contend with extreme weather, punishing deadlines and an ever-excited fandom hungry for spoilers."

"Game of Thrones: The Last Watch" will air on May 26 at 9 P.M. on HBO. As for season 8 of "Game of Thrones", it will arrive on April 14 on HBO.
