In the meantime, former Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten expresses his heartbreak over the tragic passing of the 'Firestarter' hitmaker as saying, 'He was left alone and he got destroyed.'

AceShowbiz - The Prodigy have cancelled a string of live shows following the death of Keith Flint.

Fans were hoping the group's planned Glastonbury festival slot would be a tribute to the late frontman, who was found dead at his home on Monday, March 03 after apparently taking his own life, but his bandmates have decided there will be no shows as they grieve the "Firestarter" hitmaker's passing.

A statement from Liam Howlett and Maxim Reality on the band's official Twitter account reads, "Following the tragic death of Keith Flint all forthcoming Prodigy shows will be cancelled with immediate effect."

They confirmed Keith's death with a joint statement, which read: "It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time."

Meanwhile, Flint's friend John Lydon has also been stunned by the Prodigy star's sudden death.

Appearing emotional, the former Sex Pistols frontman told TMZ cameras on Monday night, "My heart is broken for him. He was a good friend of mine... Nobody loved him and he was left alone and he got destroyed. Why? Why do so many people in this industry be left alone (sic)?"

"We are not looking after each other anymore, and we should."

Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten, then stared straight into the camera and said, "Any other of you out there who need help, come talk to me... We do not need to die (sic)."
