AceShowbiz - "A Star Is Born" is heading back to theaters following its win at the 2019 Academy Awards. Warner Bros. announces that the musical drama film will be re-released for a week in more than 1,150 theaters across North America starting Friday, March 1.

The "special encore engagement" will feature almost 12 minutes of additional footage, including never-before-seen scenes and extended performances of the opener "Black Eyes", "Alibi" and Lady GaGa's Ally performing "Shallow" in the parking lot.

The re-release will also include a new scene in which Ally serenades Jack with "Is That Alright?" during their wedding sequence, and another where Bradley Cooper's Jack sings "Too Far Gone" in the studio. It is noted, though, that the re-release will not feature any of the film's alternate endings.

To tease the re-release, a clip has been released showing GaGa's Ally and Cooper's Jack singing previously unreleased song "Clover". The two share an intimate moment while writing the song in the footage.

"A Star Is Born" received eight nominations at the 91st Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor (Cooper), Best Actress (GaGa) and Best Supporting Actor (Sam Elliott), and won one for Best Original Song ("Shallow"). It earned GaGa her first Oscar.

At the Sunday, February 24 ceremony, GaGa and Cooper also performed an intimate duet of "Shallow". The singer/actress gushed about her co-star Cooper, who also directed the film, when accepting her Oscar, "Bradley, there is not a single person on the planet that could have sung this song with me but you. Thank you for believing in us."

Not only getting glowing reviews from critics, "A Star Is Born" has enjoyed a commercial success, bringing in a total of $425.4 million worldwide from its original run against a production budget of just $36-40 million.
