Taking the stage to accept the trophy for his hit 'God's Plan', the Canadian superstar gives a shout-out to fellow hip-hop musicians like Travis Scott and Cardi B.

AceShowbiz - The annual 61st Grammy Awards continues. Following more performances by the likes of Post Malone and Dolly Parton, another musician who took the stage to accept a trophy at the event was Kacey Musgraves, who took home Best Country Album for her acclaimed effort "Golden Hour".

The songstress, who beat out Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne and Chris Stapleton to win the coveted award, was beaming with happiness during her acceptance speech. "I never dreamed that this record would be met with such love," she said, thanking her husband who was in attendance for his undying support. "I love country music with everything that I am... My sweet husband is here. I love you. I believe I wouldn't have this album if I hadn't meet you."

This marked her third win at the 2019 Grammys. During the pre-show, Kacey was announced as the winner of Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for "Space Cowboy" and "Butterflies" respectively. "Golden Hour" is additionally nominated for the biggest honor, Album of the Year.

Host Alicia Keys then went back to the stage to wow the audience with her show-stopping piano performance, paying tribute to some of her favorite artists. Country group Dan + Shay then followed it up with a performance of their Grammy-winning song "Tequilla" before presenting Drake with Best Rap Song for "God's Plan". When everyone thought that the Canadian hip-hop superstar didn't attend the event, he made surprise appearance to accept the accolade.

"This is, like, the first time in Grammy history that I actually am who I thought I was for a second," Drake said during his acceptance, before thanking his peers and the industry recognition. He also gave a shout-out to Travis Scott (II) and Cardi B, noting that every musician was a winner.

He said, "We play an opinion based sport, not a factual based sport... You already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if they're singing in your hometown. You're already winning, you don't need this right here."
