'Cold War' Beats 'Roma' at American Society of Cinematographers Awards

On TV category, 'The Crown' nails the Episode of a Series for Non-Commercial Television prize for its 'Beryl' episode, whereas Jeff Bridges brings home the Board of Governors Award.

AceShowbiz - "Cold War" was a big winner at the 33rd American Society of Cinematographers Outstanding Achievement Awards on Saturday, February 09 after taking home the top prize.

Cinematographer Lukasz Zal's film, which was directed by Pawel Pawlikowski, beat out "Roma", "A Star Is Born", "The Favourite" and "First Man" for the Theatrical Release accolade, while Giorgi Shvelidze's movie Namme won the Spotlight award.

On the TV side, "The Crown" episode "Beryl" was honoured in the Episode of a Series for Non-Commercial Television and "Beyond" episode "Two Zero One" won for Episode of a Series for Commercial Television.

"Patrick Melrose" episode "Bad News" was also feted in the Motion Picture, Miniseries, or Pilot Made for Television category and actor Jeff Bridges took home the Board of Governors Award.
