The Black Sabbath frontman has checked into a Southern California hospital to treat complications from the flu, his wife confirms via her social media account.

AceShowbiz - Ozzy Osbourne is back in the hospital with severe flu-like symptoms.

The rocker's poor health forced him to scrap an upcoming European tour last month (January 2019), and now his condition has become so dire his wife Sharon Osbourne has raced to be by Ozzy's side.

Confirming the news on Wednesday, February 06, Sharon tweeted: "As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu."

"His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love."

According to The Blast's sources, Ozzy checked into the Keck Hospital of USC (University of Southern California) on Monday.

Sharon was absent from her U.S. talk show "The Talk" on Tuesday after choosing to stay by her husband's side instead.

Ozzy released a statement after cancelling his tour dates last week, writing: "I'm completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour. It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to s**t. First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis."

The tour is being rescheduled for September.

Ozzy spent time in the hospital at the end of last year after contracting a staph infection that required surgery on his hand.
