AceShowbiz - Jordan Peele's "The Twilight Zone" reboot is getting a premiere date on CBS All Access. The premium network has announced that the first episode of the iteration of the classic 1959 anthology series will arrive on April Fool's Day.

The announcement was made during CBS' Television Critics Association presentation on Wednesday, January 30. Also revealed by Julie McNamara, EVP Original Content for CBS All Access, during the presentation was that new episodes of the reboot would be available for CBS All Access subscribers on demand weekly on Thursdays beginning April 11.

Peele is tapped to both host and narrate the series which will star Steven Yeun, Ike Barinholtz, John Cho, Lucinda Dryzek, Taissa Farmiga and Greg Kinnear. They will also be joined by Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Allison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jefferson White, Jonathan Whitesell, Jessica Williams and DeWanda Wise.

It was previously revealed that Yeun would play the main character in "The Traveler", the fourth episode of the Jordan Peele series. The episode is set to follow two cops and a mysterious traveler.

The new "The Twilight Zone" is also developed just like the original series that featured standalone episodes. With that being said, it seems like instead of seeing the stars sharing screen on the show, they will lead one episode each. The revival marks the latest attempt to bring back the series. The first two revivals ran from 1985-89 on CBS before it was followed with another reboot that aired on CBS from 2002-03.

Created by Rod Sterling in 1959, the original "The Twilight Zone" was a classic science fiction anthology series, with each science fiction, fantasy, or horror episode playing out a self-contained, moralistic story, often with a memorable twist. It ran for five seasons until 1964.

The rebooted "The Twilight Zone" will make a two-episode premiere on April 1 on CBS All Access.
