AceShowbiz - The controversy surrounding "Butterfly Doors" won't stop Lil Pump from unveiling the new track for fans' listening pleasure. Still, the young Florida rapper made sure to remove the racist lines from the song before releasing it on Friday, January 4, along with its music video.

Instead of rapping "They call Yao Ming 'cause my eyes real low, ching chong," like in the original version, Pump mutes the portion where he previously mentioned the basketball athlete. He additionally deletes the words "ching chong" altogether. The whole song itself finds him boasting about his cars which have vertical doors, resembling wings of a butterfly.

Keeping true to the lyrics of the song, the music video features Pump in a club-lit garage with multiple "butterfly door" cars alongside him. As a slew of female dancers in sexy outfits show off their best moves, Pump raps, "If I go broke, I'ma kick doors/ I'ma go back to sellin' nicks at the Citgo/ I can't go, no/ Hop on a flight if I ain't got my pole."

The "Gucci Gang" hitmaker first teased the track on social media in December 2018, which soon caused controversy because of the racial slur and gestures directed towards Asians. Awkwafina, who is of Chinese and Korean descent, was among those who criticized Pump.

"I came here to tell you guys that I seen the whole thing going on on the internet and all that and I came here to tell you for my part that I'm sorry and I apologize for posting that. It was not my intention to hurt nobody or do none of that, deada**."

He then insisted that he didn't have any hard feelings against the Asian community because he also has a slew of Asian friends. "I f**k with everybody. I ain't got nothing against nobody. I want everybody to have a merry Christmas and spread love and positivity."
