AceShowbiz - Known for her numerous meme-able faces, Chrissy Teigen seemingly can't welcome the new year without making new hilarious moments. The supermodel just cause her first viral moment of the year while counting down the new year with Leslie Jones and "Today" host Carson Daly at Times Square on Monday night, December 31.

Welcoming the first seconds of 2019, Chrissy tried to share a happy hug with the "Saturday Night Live" star, only to find herself getting poked in the eye with the latter's umbrella. The two ended up hugging right after the mother of two made sure to duck under the clear umbrella the second time around. Still, the moment when she was hit with the umbrella was hard to forget.

Chrissy later tweeted that she was okay after the mishap went viral, while Leslie immediately apologized for the trouble she caused thanks to her umbrella. Making sure to not make the comedian feel bad any longer, the cookbook author replied, "EYE'M FINE BABY. I hug too hard what can I say." She added a selfie of her making a duck face along with the tweet.

Not stopping there, the "Lip Sync Battle" co-host then made fun of herself in another tweet. "7am. Heading back out to time's square to find my eyeball," Chrissy wrote on the micro-blogging site.

A source close to Chrissy explained to HollywoodLife.com that the model could not stopping laughing after the incident. "Chrissy is still laughing at herself after her eye got poked last night. She is really good at laughing at herself. She's kind of clumsy as it is and isn't embarrassed in the slightest," the source noted. "She's totally fine too. She finds it amusing how much everyone cares about her eye being poked! Knowing her, she will make fun of herself over this for a long time to come."
