While legal representative for the 'FEFE' star has taken steps to dismiss his misdemeanour assault case, J. Cole shows his support to the rapper by releasing new song titled 'A Lot'.

AceShowbiz - An attorney for incarcerated rapper Tekashi69 a.k.a. 6ix9ine is calling for his misdemeanour assault case in Texas to be dismissed, after an arrest warrant was issued for a missed hearing.
The "FEFE" star, real name Daniel Hernandez, had been ordered to appear before a Paris County judge on Thursday, December 20 following claims that he had choked a 16 year old during a clash at a local mall in January.
He was a no-show, as he is currently being held behind bars for a federal case in New York, but his legal representative Carl Moore explains they have already taken steps to have the Texas count dropped, submitting paperwork from the alleged victim, who made amends with Tekashi following the incident and does not want the prosecution to move forward.
Moore is confident he will succeed in having the case dismissed, and thus the warrant lifted, once everything is explained at a new hearing scheduled for after Christmas, December 25.
"I think they will have a tough time proving the case if they don't have a victim, not to mention the fact that (Hernandez) is in federal custody dealing with a racketeering case that is a lot more serious than what he's dealing with in Paris County," he told Billboard.com. "The judge knows he didn't blow this (court date) off, that he's in custody."

If prosecutors refuse to drop the misdemeanour case, Tekashi faces up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of $4,000 (£3,200).
In comparison, he is already facing a life sentence if convicted of the six New York charges, which include conspiracy to murder. He has pleaded not guilty, with his trial set for September, 2019.
Meanwhile, the troubled 22 year old has received a little support from fellow rapper J. Cole, who asked fans to keep Tekashi in their prayers as he fights the criminal charges on his new song with 21 Savage, titled "A Lot".
On the track, released as part of 21 Savage's latest album, "I Am > I Was" on Friday, Cole spits, "Pray for Tekashi, they want him to rot/I picture him inside a cell on a cot, 'Flectin' on how he made it to the top/Wondering if it was worth it or not".
Cole is the latest hip-hop star to reach out to Tekashi - his "Fefe" collaborator Nicki Minaj previously wished him well via social media following his arrest in Brooklyn, New York last month.
