Lending his voice to the TV reboot of Jim Henson's classic, the 'Kingsman' star joins the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy and Nathalie Emmanuel in the all-star cast ensemble.

AceShowbiz - Actor Taron Egerton has signed on to lead the all-star voice cast in a TV reboot of Jim Henson's beloved classic "The Dark Crystal".

The "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" star will be joined by actresses Anya Taylor-Joy and Nathalie Emmanuel to feature as the main elf-like heroes Rian, Brea and Deet in "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance", while Netflix officials have also scored an impressive roster of supporting castmembers to lend their vocals to various characters in the fantasy adventure series.

Alicia Vikander, Simon Pegg, Helena Bonham Carter, Toby Jones, and Andy Samberg are just some of the new names attached to the project, as are Mark Hamill, Eddie Izzard, Jason Isaacs, Keegan-Michael Key, Egerton's "Kingsman" franchise co-star Mark Strong, and Nathalie's "Game of Thrones" pal Natalie Dormer, reports Deadline.com.

"The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" will serve as a prequel to late Muppets master Henson's 1982 movie, and will introduce new creatures created by the film's original concept designer, Brian Froud, when it launches on the streaming service next year (19).
