The rapper who has recurring role on 'Mr. Robot' has been added to the TV reboot of the 1992 romantic comedy along with Brittany Inge and Kimberly Hall.

AceShowbiz - Rapper-turned-actor Joey Bada$$ has scored the opportunity to work with Halle Berry on an upcoming TV reboot of her 1992 movie "Boomerang".

The 23 year old, real name Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, has already shown off his talents onscreen in hit hacking drama "Mr. Robot", and now he's been tapped for a role in the small screen adaptation of the classic romantic comedy, in which he will play a professional musician with a dark background.

The original "Boomerang" featured Eddie Murphy as hotshot advertising executive and womaniser Marcus Graham, who is forced to reconsider his chauvinistic behaviour after meeting his match in his new boss, Jacqueline Broyer, played by actress Robin Givens.

Halle portrayed Eddie's onscreen colleague and love interest, Angela Lewis, and now she's set to executive produce the revamped project, which will focus on the lives of Broyer's son and the daughter of Marcus and his now-wife Angela, played by actors Tequan Richmond and Tetona Jackson, as they seek to step out of their parents' shadows.

Also joining the cast in recurring roles are "Atlanta" actress Brittany Inge and newcomer Kimberly Hall.

The pilot was co-written by "Master of None" actress Lena Waithe, who will co-executive produce the show for a 2019 launch on America's BET network.
