Forced to also axed his Australian tour due to foot injury, the 'This Is America' rapper reportedly makes the decision since he is 'not confident of being able to perform at his full capacity.'

AceShowbiz - Rapper Childish Gambino has cancelled a string of concert dates, including an upcoming gig at London's O2 Arena.

The "This Is America" hitmaker, real name Donald Glover, was forced to pull the final eight dates of his U.S. tour after injuring his foot while performing onstage in Dallas, Texas in September.

It has now been announced that he has still not fully recovered from the injury, and has subsequently decided to reschedule his show at London's O2 Arena from Sunday, November 04 to 24 March 2019.

He has also scrapped his upcoming tour in Australia, which was due to kick off in Perth on 8 November, followed by shows in Melbourne and Sydney, and a set at Canberra's Spilt Milk festival.

Representatives from promoter Live Nation said they are "working to try and reschedule the dates" and said he was "not confident of being able to perform at his full capacity and deliver the shows he had been planning."

The rapper later issued his own message to fans on his Instagram Stories, writing, "I'm not ready to put on 100 per cent shows. apologies to the fans. i will be back soon."

A source has told Stuff.co.nz that the 35-year-old is still be going ahead with his three-date festival extravaganza in Tapapakanga Regional Park, near Auckland, New Zealand from 23 November.

A festival source said it was "full steam ahead" for the Pharos festival, explaining that the event is different from what the musician had planned for Australia.

In addition to his tour dates, he was also forced to pull out of appearances at Austin City Limits Festival in Texas and 2018 Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was replaced by Travis Scott (II) for the latter festival, which took place on Saturday.
