Glover issued a statement to apologize for the cancellations, explaining that his recovery is taking longer than expected. "Unfortunately, my path to recovery is taking longer than expected," he said. "The upcoming concerts in Australia and New Zealand are canceled."

Glover expressed his appreciation for the support of his fans and promised to provide an exceptional experience in the future. "One of the last things I'd ever want to do is disappoint my fans," he said. "I really appreciate the support you have shown and know that I will do what I can to give u an exceptional experience when the time is right."

This cancellation follows the postponement of Glover's North American, UK, and European dates in October after he underwent surgery for an undisclosed issue. At the time, Glover wrote on social media that he needed time to heal.

"My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously," he wrote. "With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates."

Glover's tour was in support of his final album under the Childish Gambino moniker, "Bando Stone and The New World." Glover has stated that he is retiring the Childish Gambino alias due to the decline of album consumption and disruptions in the touring business.

Refunds will be automatically processed for those who purchased tickets to the Australian and New Zealand concerts.
