AceShowbiz - Charlie Puth has become the latest Hollywood star to collaborate with K-Pop sensation BTS (Bangtan Boys), but they won't be releasing new music. It has been confirmed that the two acts will team up for a joint performance at the forthcoming 2018 MGA Awards.

Organizers of the award-giving show announced the good news on Monday, October 29. "The group BTS and the American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth are preparing to stage a collaboration performance at the 2018 MGA," a representative said in a statement.

It's unknown what Charlie and BTS have in mind for their collaborative stage. The 2018 MGA Awards will take place at Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon, South Korea on November 6.

BTS and Charlie have previously expressed admiration to each other, with member Jungkook releasing a cover of Selena Gomez-assisted "We Don't Talk Anymore". Charlie took notice of the cover and later wrote on Twitter, "I really like BTS's music." The seven-piece group replied back, "We really like Charlie Puth's music."

BTS has collaborated with a slew of Hollywood musicians ever since they won an Award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Most recently, RM (Rap Monster) and the others reunited with Steve Aoki for their first English track called "Waste It on Me". They've also linked with Nicki Minaj for the remix version of "IDOL".

Other acts who have promised to release a collaboration with BTS are Zedd and Shawn Mendes. The record producer previously said that he was hopeful the song would arrive this year. "We're definitely talking about it, we want to collaborate on a song again, same issues as always, it's a mix of finding the right time and the right song," he said.

Meanwhile, the Canadian singer admitted that he had no lyrics written for their joint track. However, he promised that it would happen anytime soon. "I can't give you a date because we haven't hung out and wrote a song yet, but it will happen. 'Cause I love them and I think -- their fans too. So I promise."
