AceShowbiz - CNCO and Ozuna came out as the biggest winners of the 2018 Latin American Music Awards, which took place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California on Thursday, October 25. The boyband and the reggaeton singer took home three awards each at the annual event.

The five-piece group, who was formed through competition program "La Banda", snatched all the prizes that they were nominated in. They won Favorite Duo or Group, Favorite Artist - Pop and Favorite Album - Pop for their self-titled album. Meanwhile, lead nominee Ozuna bagged Album of the Year and Favorite Album - Urban for "Odisea" in addition to winning Favorite Artist - Urban.

Trailing behind them with two awards were Bad Bunny, Becky G and Daddy Yankee among others. Bunny was presented with the biggest honor of the night, Artist of the Year, as well as Favorite Song - Urban for his collaboration with Becky on "Mayores". The songstress additionally won Favorite Artist - Female.

On the other hand, Yankee was named Favorite Artist - Male and received the special Icon Award. He was recognized as this year's most distinguished and beloved artist of the Hispanic world. Taking the stage to receive the trophy, he said, "I work with a lot of discipline, perseverance and determination."

"Many people ask me how they can get to this level and I simply tell them, respecting people, respecting family, respecting the fans, loving your homeland, like my homeland of Puerto Rico, I love you to death," he added. "In the same way loving other countries that have opened their doors to you. I am a student of life, I continue to learn from all my brothers every day. It's been three decades of sacrifice. I have never failed, which means that I will never fail you."

Other act who received special award at the show was Maluma. He was presented with the Extraordinaty Revolutionary Award for his impressive rise to fame over the past couple of years.
